SHIELDS / Knoxville Pit Party and Customer Appreciation Day 2001

KNOXVILLE 2001 PIT PARTY
AND CUSTOMER APPRECIATION DAY!

Rather than a pit party and customer appreciation day in Knoxville this year (2002), customers were invited to help Wade Shields celebrate at his 60th birthday party. Approximately 650 customers and friends helped Wade grow older in style and dignity. Well, in style anyway. Wade and SHIELDS Electronics-Datacom would like to thank all the customers who came out and helped us celebrate. Please enjoy these photos from Knoxville's previous pit party.

Many customers brought their "babies" to display.

Perry Shields from the Bristol store parked cars for the event.

Wade Shields pulled double grill duty all day - mighty hot work. In the background is the SHIELDS special event trailer. Besides having refrigeration and a freezer for food storage, this is where tables, chairs, tents, supplies, and grills are transported.

Sweet talking the cook?

Tim Cox made sure customers had plenty of buns and fixin's.

The line for SHIELDS famous half-pound steak burgers was long all day.

Many manufacturers were on hand to display their products. Above is the AESP / Signamax networking products display.

FutureSmart was on hand to show their products to contractors wanting to wire the "future friendly" home. FutureSmart products allow contractors to quickly and easily install cable, Cat5e networking, and fiber optic capabilities in a home, office, or school. Using FutureSmart Speed-Wrap cable, two runs of RG-6, two runs of Cat5e, and two runs of fiber can be completed with a single pull.

Middle Atlantic Products once again brought their mobile showroom to the event to display their line of 19" racks and accessories.

The Middle Atlantic representative gives customers a tour of the showroom and demonstrates the advantages of Middle Atlantic Products.

The Knoxville Police handled security and passed out information about the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program.

SHIELDS and Sam Hardwick Motorsports displayed a rolling Childress chassis, thus allowing fans a good look at a car before the body goes on.

Many race cars were on display as well. SHIELDS is proud to co-sponsor these cars.

Thanks to the support of our customers, this event just keeps growing year after year.
